For the second half of Term 2, Year 5 and 6 students worked on Rube Goldberg machines within their own classes.
Students in Room 5 worked very hard in their own groups (which were each allocated to different areas of the classroom) to produce one machine which took up the whole classroom area! It was successful in so many ways, but it also needed to be developed in a few areas for a more sound operation. Enjoy the video of the efforts which went into our amazing machine!
Welcome to Room 5's blog! We hope you enjoy looking at what we've been up to in class.

Batik Art
This term, Room 5 has been working hard on Batik art - an art form which originated in Indonesia. We used paper instead of fabric. A picture was drawn, followed by colouring with crayons, then the art was scrunched up, dyed and finally outlined in Indian ink.
Here are the outcomes. Some excellent work was produced! Enjoy :)
